MS2/Extra may only be used on licensed hardware. This is an unlicensed counterfeit.

Happy to help customers that have bought genuine products. But I have no desire to help those that take my work for free.
Jeroen - if you want to make your own ECU then YOU need to write the firmware yourself.

I am honestly sorry I (and some other vendors) have hurt your feelings.
Your firmware is brilliant. However, your hardware is crippled.
The DIY thing is really nice. People like to build their own stuff.
But you should have made a new PCB with the new features implemented.
Now it is a big pile of wires and external PCB's.
Not a nice and reliable package at all.
A lot of circuitry of the 3.0 and 3.57 boards are really outdated.
I cannot understand people are still buying that.
I cannot believe you are still selling the +15 years old unrevised package without remorse.
It took you folks an amazingly long time to come up with the MS3 Pro hardware.
At a price... It is a whopping 1200 euro after taxes.
You are now overtaken by the EMU.
Even its latest "black series" is cheaper and offers (WAY) more functionality.
Still, most people do not wan't to shed +1000 euro for an ECU for a relatively simple 4 banger Turbo.
They wan't a reliable and affordable ECU for their project.
MS3 in "DIY" variant is outdated. MS3 in the Pro version is overpriced.
MS2 is only interesting as a PNP device. But then again it is still overpriced.
For me it looks like the MSExtra folks are investing in the wrong team.
The firmware guys definitely did a superb job.
The developer of Tunerstudio is a hero.
The hardware guys have been sound asleep and now and then they come with something that is really overpriced.
It is a bit sad to see where the platform is going. You see new initiatives starting everywhere. New software design.
Those folks also could contribute if you allowed them to.
I am afraid the MS/Extra community has had its best time. And you blame the wrong people for it.
In my opinion the folks that make new solid and affordable hardware and the folks using it are actualy still boosting the community.
You probably do not even have to give that much support as they are quite clever devices and have less problems with RPM pickup and other hardware. Support will now come from the vendors directly.
In my opinion it should go back to open source like it was intended in the beginning.
Vendors should be offered a chance to obtain a license. There will be competition in hardware design and it will bring new and exciting products. And make no mistake: it is not that we do not want to pay for your good work!

(Damn ... Yesterday I swore to me not to lose one word on that subject)
I am sure that many of the today counterfeit guys would gladly be willing to pay and make their products legit.
Or maybe even sell the firmware direct to the end-user ... something like this.
